Hullo! I'm (probably not named) Cathy Leigh! This site is my running notebook about 21st century artificial intelligence. I have messy, complicated feelings about all this new technology, as I'm sure everyone does.
Studying this topic is my hobby now. I might as well look into it. I'm trapped here in the late 2020s. I guess you are, too, then? Admit it. It's weird living in a decade like this. I've gotten a bit used to it.
Life here in the future isn't too bad. It could be a lot better, though. I wonder how things will change moving forward. My views change a lot over time, which has been interesting to see.
I'm not an expert, and on this site, I share what I learn as I go. I'm also sharing chatlogs and resources I've collected. Perhaps soon I'll share vtube video vlogs?

I've pretty much decided that I've part of the "AI art is art" camp, mostly because it start to make me feel, and I didn't realize the music was AI generated, but I should've thought of that. The date is not related but yeah.

I work with characters when I use these programs because I find it engaging and fun. They don't exist outside of fiction. I don't see self-awareness in any of these chatbots or models. I won't be hostile if you believe otherwise. I just won't pretend I agree.
Hostile messages about my use of generative AI won't have the intended consequences. I've written about what I'm doing and why, and am taking extra care while doing it. If you find it distasteful, I have zero no hard feelings, but please browse elsewhere.
